Kadleckova Named Cyclone Club Student-Athlete of the Week

AMES, Iowa - Miska Kadleckova has been named the Cyclone Club Student-Athlete of the Week after her record-breaking performance in the NCAA Championship First and Second Rounds.
Kadleckova went unbeaten over the weekend with a pair of singles wins and a doubles victory to help the Cyclones to their first Super Regional in program history.
Saturday, Kadleckova picked up her 29th singles victory of the season, breaking the single-season school record held by Ann Camblin and Kathy Reisinger (1984-85). Kadleckova now owns both the single-season singles and doubles win totals with 29 each.
The Banska Bystrica, Slovakia native was dominant in the First Round against Drake, pairing up with Sofia Cabezas for a win at No. 3 doubles. She then blanked Elizabete Klavinska, 6-0, 6-0 at No. 3 sinlges.
Kadleckova closed out the weekend with a 6-0, 6-3 victory against Wisconsin's Taylor Cataldi.
Iowa State will host UCLA in Super Regional action Friday at 1 p.m.
