Cyclones in the NBA: Week 6

AMES, Iowa – A quarter of the way through the NBA Season, all four former Cyclones continue to be key contributors for their squads.

Tyrese Haliburton - #0, Indiana Pacers (9-14)
Indiana's struggled this week, dropping their fourth-straight on Wednesday in Brooklyn. Tyrese had another solid week, turning in his third 30-plus point performance Tuesday night in Toronto in NBA Cup Group Play, finishing with 30 points, four rebounds, and six assists (30-4-6). Haliburton also went 4-9 from deep range in that game.

Haliburton has continued to prove that he not only distributes at some of the highest levels in the league, but has also been elite in taking care of the ball.

Tyrese's efficiency has climbed as of late, as he's averaged 50% from the field over the last week, up nine ticks from his season average. In other performances this past week, Haliburton contributed 19-1-5 against Detroit, 8-2-7 in Memphis, and 17-3-8 in Brooklyn.

Georges Niang - #20, Cleveland Cavaliers (19-3)
After a rough start to the week, Niang and the Cavaliers turned it around in a big way to finish the week.

In his first game of the week, a second-straight loss to Atlanta, Georges turned in 3-1-2 on 1-6 shooting from the floor. In his next two performances, wins against Boston and Washington, Niang posted 13 and 14 point games on 67% from the field and two-straight multi-3-pointer games.

Talen Horton-Tucker - #22, Chicago Bulls (9-13)
Horton-Tucker continues to solidify his push for a role in Chicago, turning in another two impressive outings. Friday in Boston, he shot an elite 6-7 from the field, 4-4 from three, and tallied 16 points; all done in only 14 minutes of action.

In his other performance, he had 11-4-2 in a win against Brooklyn, going 2-5 from behind the arc, highlighting his extreme efficiency from deep, he is now shooting 52% on the season from that range.

Monté Morris - #23, Phoenix Suns (12-8)
Morris and the Suns have now turned in three-straight wins, with Monté getting in on the action. Saturday against Golden State, Morris added 8-5-3, and Tuesday against the Spurs, he finished with two points and four assists.
