Cyclones in the NBA: Week 21

AMES, Iowa – Cyclones continue to make their mark throughout the NBA, as this week four former Iowa State athletes saw action in the Association.

Tyrese Haliburton - #0, Indiana Pacers (38-31)
Haliburton and the Pacers had a tough week going 1-2 with both losses against current playoff teams. The Pacers lost a close game on Monday to Georges Niang and the Cavaliers by 108-103.

Haliburton had another strong week, filling up the stat sheet with two double-doubles in the past week. In the last three games, Haliburton scored 45 points but added 30 assists to the Pacers offense.

The statistical highlight of Haliburton's week was in a three-point overtime loss to the Bulls where Haliburton put up 17 points and 14 assists while only turning the ball over twice in his 38 minutes of gametime.

Talen Horton-Tucker - #5, Utah Jazz (29-39)
Horton-Tucker and the Jazz went 1-2 in the past week with a win against Atlanta but two losses to Monte Morris and the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Talen only played in two of the three games in the past week and averaged six points and four assists in those games.

Georges Niang - #20, Cleveland Cavaliers (43-25)
Niang and the Cavs went 2-1 over the past week, including a big 108-103 win away from home against the Pacers.

Niang had an impressive week for the Cavs, averaging nearly 15 points per game while shooting over 50% from behind the arc. His best game of the week was against the Pelicans where he contributed 16 points and 6 rebounds in the 116-95 win.

Monté Morris - #23, Minnesota Timberwolves (47-22)
Morris and the Minnesota Timberwolves find themselves in the thick of the playoff race in the western conference as the days count down to April. The Timberwolves find themselves in third place, one game out of first place, after going 2-1 on the week.

Morris had a solid week as he recovers from injury putting up six points a game and shooting 58.3 percent from the field.
