Cyclones in the NBA: Week 22

With the playoffs only weeks away, former Cyclones play big roles in locking their team into postseason play.

Tyrese Haliburton - #0, Indiana Pacers (41-32)
As the playoff race continues to heat up, the Pacers had a very important week going 3-1 with all games on the road. Indiana averaged a margin of victory of 16 points across the three wins. The Pacers now hold sixth place in the eastern conference with a 1.5 game lead on seventh place and the play-in tournament.

Haliburton put up All-Star stats over the past four games, adding 19.8 points per game and 9.8 assists per game to a potent Pacers offense. Tyrese also added an assist to turnover ratio of 5.4 in that stretch.

Haliburton's best performance of the week occurred in Golden State where Haliburton recorded a double-double of 26 points and 11 assists in a 123-111 win.

Talen Horton-Tucker - #5, Utah Jazz (29-43)
The Jazz went 0-4 in the past week with 3 games on the road against playoff teams.

Horton-Tucker scored eight points with two assists in a game against Oklahoma City. He did not play in the next three games.

Niang had good week with almost 13 points per game while averaging 39.3 percent from behind the arc. Niang also had two games in this four-game stretch with at least 17 points, a feat he has not completed any other time this season.

Monté Morris - #23, Minnesota Timberwolves (49-22)
Morris and the Minnesota Timberwolves went 2-0 in the past week with two home victories against the Cavs and the Warriors. The Timberwolves currently sit in third place in the western conference while sitting 1.5 games out of first place.

Morris had another solid week averaging 5.5 points per game in 17.5 minutes of play per game across the two games.
