AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State football program placed four players in the 2024 National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society, announced today by the NFF.
Seniors Aidan Bitter, Easton Dean, Hayden Pauls and Jake Remsburg earned membership this year for the Cyclones.
To make the team, student-athletes must have completed their eligibility and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.2 throughout their career.
The Cyclone foursome all came to the Cyclones as freshmen and earned their degrees from Iowa State.
Bitter, a wide receiver and Tampa, Florida native, finished his Cyclone career with 28 games played and 10 receptions for 143 yards. He was also a special team performer during his career at ISU.
Dean, an Oswego, Kansas, native, was a two-year starter and finished his career playing in 50 games at tight end. Dean, who was originally recruited as a quarterback, tallied 28 career catches for 343 yards and five touchdowns.
Pauls, an offensive lineman from Emporia, Kansas, was a four-year squad member who was a five-time honoree on the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
West Des Moines native Jake Remsburg played in 31 career games and earned Academic All-Big 12 First Team honors three times and was also a member of the 2019 Big 12 Academic All-Rookie Team. He was a CSC Academic All-District honoree in 2022.
