The NBA finished its 2023-24 regular season this weekend, as three former Cyclones clinch positions in the playoffs.
Tyrese Haliburton - #0, Indiana Pacers (47-35)
The Pacers secured a spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs with a record of 47-35. It is the first time that Indiana has earned a top-six finish in the Eastern Conference standings since the 2019-20 season. The Pacers hold the sixth seed and will match up against the third-seeded Milwaukee Bucks beginning on Sunday in Milwaukee.
Tyrese Haliburton continued to show that he is among the league's best players in the 2023-24 regular season with his star-studded performances. Haliburton leads the NBA in assists per game at 10.9 and is the only player in the NBA to average over 20 points and 10 assists across a season.
Haliburton set two new career-highs in the regular season with 44 points on Nov. 30 against Miami and 23 assists on Dec. 30 against the New York Knicks.

Talen Horton-Tucker - #5, Utah Jazz (31-51)
The Utah Jazz finished their season at a record of 31-51, leading to a 12th-place finish in the Western Conference.
Talen Horton-Tucker battled through injuries in 2023-24 and was only available to play in 51 games. In those games, Horton-Tucker averaged over 10 points per game and remained a threat behind the three-point line, shooting at 33 percent.

Georges Niang - #20, Cleveland Cavaliers (46-33)
The Cleveland Cavaliers finished in fourth place in the Eastern Conference for the second consecutive season after a record of 48-34. The Cavs will host the fifth-place Orlando Magic for the first two games of the first round series starting on Saturday.
Georges Niang had an efficient season for the Cavs, shooting 44.9 percent from the floor and adding a 37.6 shooting percentage from behind the three-point line.

Monté Morris - #23, Minnesota Timberwolves (56-26)
The Minnesota Timberwolves finished the regular season in third place with a 56-26 record. It is the best finish for the franchise since the 2003-04 season that saw the Kevin Garnett-led team go to the Western Conference Finals.
The Timberwolves will start first-round playoff action at home against the Phoenix Suns on Saturday.
Monte Morris had an unfortunate string of injuries that led to him only playing in 33 regular season games in 2023-24. In those games, Morris shot a 40.5 percentage from the field as part of a strong backcourt.
