Kelsey Sampson Promoted To Assistant Athletics Director

AMES, Iowa – Kelsey Sampson, who is completing her seventh year as a member of the Iowa State Athletics staff and sixth as the Executive Assistant to Director of Athletics Jamie Pollard, has been promoted into the role of Assistant Athletics Director for Administration, the department announced today.
"Kelsey has made a tremendous impact on our department and this promotion recognizes her contributions to our department's many successes over the last seven years, as well as her talent, and the leadership that she has provided throughout our department from her current position," Pollard said. "She is most deserving of this opportunity, and I look forward to watching her continue to grow professionally and personally in this new role."
The Pleasant Valley, Iowa, native was a four-year basketball letterwinner at Coe College, and began her professional career as an Assistant to Coe's Director of Athletics from 2013-15.
Before joining the Iowa State team in August 2017, Sampson earned her Master's degree in Sport Management from the University of San Francisco in May 2017. She worked as a Business Office Assistant at San Jose State University (October 2016-June 2017) and as an Olympic Sports Operations & Fan Experience Associate at the University of California (August 2015-April 2016). Sampson also served as a Director and Coach of Skyhawks Sports Academy and as a Regional Sponsorship Scout for SponsorUnited in the Bay area.
