AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State tennis program has announced its fall schedule for the 2024-25 season as it prepares for head coach Jaron Maestas' second season leading the program.
The team will return three players from last year's team, including senior Anna Supapitch Kuearum. In 2023-24, Kuearum became just the ninth Cyclone to win 10 matches at No. 1 singles. Sophomores Ashlee Narker and Valeska San Martin Ramirez also return for their second season in Ames after a promising start to their careers.
Iowa State will have five newcomers in a recruiting class that ranks No. 2 in the Big 12 and No. 20 nationally.
The Cyclones will start the fall Sept. 20-22 at the K-State Fall Invitational.
The 2024-25 season presents a different setup with the NCAA Individual Championships taking place at the end of the fall season, rather than during the spring as it has in the past.
Bids will be earned at a variety of different ITA Tournaments throughout the fall, beginning with the ITA All-American Championships in Cary, North Carolina, from Sept. 21-29. The weekend will be split as Cyclones not participating in North Carolina will head to the Jon Messick Invitational, Sept. 27-29 in Fort Collins, Colorado.
The ITA Regionals (Oct. 9-14) in Memphis, Tennessee and the ITA Super Regionals (Nov. 7-10) in Ann Arbor, Michigan will provide other opportunities for players to earn bids to the NCAA Individual Championships, which will take place Nov. 19-24 in Waco, Texas.
