AMES, Iowa – Iowa State women's basketball alum Lauren Mansfield (2010-12) has been named to Australia's Olympic 3x3 Basketball team. Mansfield and her teammates (Anneli Maley, Marena Whittle and Alex Wilson) will all be making their 3x3 Olympic debuts after the Australian discipline made its Olympic debut at Tokyo 2020.
Mansfield, an Adelaide, Australia native, was a co-captain for the Cyclones during the 2011-12 season as she averaged 8.2 points, 3.3 assists and 3.1 rebounds per contest as a senior. In her two seasons with Iowa State, Mansfield played in 63 games, making 60 starts while averaging over 31 minutes played per game. She had 26 career games with five or more assists and finished with double-figure scoring 11 times as a senior, including three contests with 20 or more points.
