Women's Cross Country Claims Top 20 Finish at Nuttycombe

MADISON, Wis. – The Iowa State women's cross country team posted a top 20 team finish while Maelle Porcher was a top 20 individual finisher to lead the Cyclone effort at the Nuttycombe Invitational.
Porcher placed 16th with a time of 20:30.0 to lead ISU. Riley Beach (21:23.8) and Bella Heikes (21:24.3) were also top 100 finishers in the loaded field, finishing 94th and 95th respectively.
In the women's "B" race, Ashlyn Keeney led the way with a top 5 finish, crossing the line in 21:27.4 for fourth place. Ruby Hughes (13th, 21:43.1) and Aspen Fulbright (15th, 21:43.6) were both top 20 individual finishers as well.
Up Next
The Cyclones will take three weeks to prepare for Pre-Nationals, also held in Madison this season. The women's "A" race will begin at 10 a.m. with the men's "A" race to follow at 10:40 a.m.
