Iowa State No. 27 In Directors’ Cup Standings After Fall Season

AMES, Iowa – Iowa State sits at No. 27 in the Division I Learfield Directors' Cup after the fall sports season.
The football program and men's and women's cross country teams earned points in the fall as the Cyclones sit third among Big 12 Conference universities, trailing only BYU and West Virginia.
The Cyclone football team had the best season in school history, reaching double-digit wins for the first time in the program's 133-year history. ISU finished 11-3 overall and defeated Miami to win the Pop-Tarts Bowl. The Cyclones were ranked No. 15 in the AP Top 25 and earned 60 points in the final fall standings.
The men's cross country program earned a runner-up finish at the NCAA Cross Country Championships, its second top-two finish in the last four seasons, and added 90 points to the cause.
Iowa State's women's cross country team had one individual reach the championships as Maelle Porcher finished 104th and added 29 points to the Cyclone total for the fall.
