AMES, Iowa – Iowa State junior center Audi Crooks has been named to the 2025-26 John R. Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 Watch List, announced by the Los Angeles Athletic Club on Wednesday evening.
Crooks is now a two-time Wooden Award top 25 watch list member after making the cut a season ago. The Algona, Iowa native leads the country this season in scoring average (29.1 ppg), points (408) and field goals (169). She finished five straight games with 30-plus points while shooting at least 60 percent from the floor (Nov. 30-Dec. 31, 2025). Crooks has shot 71 percent (169-238) from the floor this season and 70 percent from the free throw line (70-100). In her last four games, she has finished with three points-rebounds double-doubles (vs. Iowa, at Houston, vs. Baylor).
Crooks has broken two Iowa State records so far this season. She broke Tonya Burns' single-game scoring record against Valparaiso (Nov. 12) with 43 points on 18-of-23 shooting from the floor, matching her single-game made field goal record as well. Against Indiana (Nov. 30), Crooks bested both marks again, finishing with 47 points on 19-of-25 field goals. The 6-3 center is the only player in Division I women's basketball to record multiple 40-point game this season and owns the highest single-game point total on the year.
Crooks and the No. 11 Cyclones are back in action tonight, Wednesday, January 7 at Cincinnati. Tip-off in Fifth Third Arena is set for 5:30 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
