Pettaway, Flora on Jet Award Mid-Season Watchlist
10.14.2026 | Football
AMES, Iowa - Iowa State running backs Aiden Flora and Cameron Pettaway were named to the Jet Award midseason watch list, the organization announced Wednesday. The Jet Award is given annually to college football's top return specialist.
Iowa State is the only school with two players on the list.
Flora has been one of college football's most electric players so far this season. He is averaging 17.9 yards per punt return, which is tied for the best in the Big 12. He has returned one punt for a touchdown this season, a 66-yarder against Bowling Green.
Pettaway is as dangerous as anyone on kickoff returns. He is one of eight players nationally with a 100-yard kickoff return this season. Pettaway is averaging 32.0 yards per kick return, the top mark in the Big 12 this season.
Iowa State is on bye this weekend. The Cyclones return to action at Arizona on Oct. 24. Kickoff time and TV network are yet to be determined.
