AMES, Iowa -Â Iowa State wide receiver Cody Jackson was named to the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award Watch List Tuesday morning. The award is given annually to the top offensive player in Division I college football who either graduated from a Texas high school or plays for a Texas-based college.
Jackson, a redshirt senior from Richmond, Texas, joined the Cyclones in January following stops at Tarleton State, Houston and Oklahoma. He was a 2025 Second Team All-United Athletic Conference selection last season after he snared 53 receptions for 799 yards and six touchdowns for TSU. Jackson averaged 15.1 yards per catch and hauled in six receptions of 30-plus yards.
In two seasons at Tarleton State, Jackson appeared in 27 games and made 82 receptions for 1,289 yards and 14 touchdowns.
