Outdoor: Competed in five meets for Iowa State … finished 16th in the 800 (2:17.36) and ninth as member of 4x400-meter relay (3:44.44) at the Big 12 Outdoor Championships … led-off for second-place 4x800-meter relay (8:41.10) at the Drake Relays … finished second in the 800 (2:13.28) and as part of the 4x400 (3:52.99) at the Tulsa Duels … finished fourth in the 800 at a season-best 2:11.99 at the Musco Twilight … also ran the 800 at the Stanford Invitational (2:12.57).

Indoor: Took part in three meets for Iowa State … finished 13th in the 600-yard run (1:23.94) and was ninth as part of the 4x400-meter relay (3:45.48) at the Big 12 Indoor Championships … finished third in the 400 (58.63) and as part of the 4x400-meter relay (3:49.01) at the Larry Wieczorek Invitational … competed in the 800 at the Iowa State Classic (2:13.28).

Chapman set herself apart as one of the top middle distance runners in the state of Iowa during her pre career ... At the IAHSAA 4A State Championships, placed second in the 400m (56.63) and third in the 800m (2:13.03) … took home the 800m crown at the Midwest Distance Classic while clocking a 2:10.8 … holds personal bests of 55.91 (400m), 2:09.90 (800m) and 19:08.40 (5k – XC).
