2019-20
Wrestled to a 16-4 record, 5-2 dual, during his redshirt junior season… earned First Team All-America honors from the NWCA... qualified for the NCAA Championships at 149 pounds and was seeded eighth for the national tournament before the season ended early due to the outbreak of Covid-19 virus worldwide… qualified for the NCAA Championships with a third-place finish at the Big 12 Championship… reached the semifinals at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational before suffering a shoulder injury that sidelined him for two months during the season… in his return to the mat, he pinned Fresno State’s Greg Gaxiola in 4:27… finished the season with two major decision and three pins.
2018-19
Took seventh-place at the 2019 NCAA Championships to earn All-America honors… the first All American alongside Willie Miklus during the Kevin Dresser era at Iowa State… 292nd All American in school history… finished runner-up at the Big 12 Championship… tallied a 29-8 record, which was the most wins on the team… tallied 12 bonus-point wins, including seven by fall… went 12-2 in dual competition… recorded 40 takedowns in duals on the season, which was tied for the team's best… finished fifth at the Southern Scuffle… won the Lindenwood Open… finished runner-up at the Cyclone Open.
2017-18
Ended his redshirt freshman season with a 23-11 record… compiled a 10-4 record in duals… qualified for the 2018 NCAA Championships… Iowa State’s only qualifier… made it to the round of 12 at the NCAA tournament before falling in the blood round to ASU’s Jason Tsirtsis, 4-3… took third place at the Big 12 Championship to qualify for the national tournament with an automatic bid… compiled a seven match win streak from Dec. 9 through Jan. 21… tallied a team high in wins (23)… tied for second on the team in dual wins (10)… second on the team in dual takedowns (37)… second on the team in total back points (30)… compiled 11 total bonus-point wins with three pins, five tech falls and three major decisions.
