Finished with a 12-7 record…started the season off with two straight decision wins against Brian Stephens of Virginia Tech and Marcell Clopton of Kent State…placed third at the Hokie Open with a technical fall of 18-2 against Virginia Tech’s Cam Hurd and a major decision 12-3 over Dale Debacco from Newberry…posted a major decision win, 13-3, against Iowa’s Jeret Chiri…took two decision wins at Midlands Championships…bested eventual All-American Ganbayar Sanjaa of American by a score of 7-4 at the Cliff Keen/NWCA National Duals.
2009-2010
Posted an 8-5 record in an injury-plagued season…posted one major decision, one technical fall and one pin…placed at the Grand View Open…earned a dominating technical fall over Josh Calteux of Wartburg in 5:59…quickly pinned Gerald Harris of Missouri Baptist in 4:49 at the Grand View Open…opened up his second season as a Cyclone with a 9-1 major decision over Nick Flynn of SDSU.
2008 - 09
Posted a 13-6 record in his first season wearing an Iowa State singlet ... took runner-up at the Glen Brand Open, notching three decisions ... competed at the Midlands Championship, wrestling to a 2-2 mark ... placed second at the UNI Open, notching a victory over UNI’s Tyson Reiner in the semifinal round, winning 5-4 for the decision ... started at 157 pounds for ISU at home against Arizona State and scored a sound decision of ASU’s Jarrad Trulson, 10-3 ... wrestled at the Harold Nichols/Cyclone Open, going 4-2 in the tournament.

Born Nov. 1, 1987 ... son of Nate Sr. and Lindy Carr ... marketing major ... Carr Jr. is the son of former Cyclone wrestling great, Nate Carr Sr. During the early 1980s, Nate Sr. won three NCAA titles and two Big Eight crowns at 150 pounds. At the 1988 Olympic Games in Seoul, Carr wrestled his way to a bronze medal. His accomplishments were acknowledged when he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
