Finished the season with a 14-11 record and ranked nationally at No. 17…started the season with two decision wins against Chase Skonieczny of Kent State and former All-American Chris Diaz of Virginia Tech…posted a 13-2 major decision win against Riley Adamson of Duke along with two decision victories to take fourth place at the Hokie Open…placed fourth at Midlands Championships after winning with a technical fall against Nick Dardanes of Minnesota, and posting three other wins…recorded decision wins against Levi Jones of Boise State and Tristen DeShazer of Northern Illinois at Cliff Keen/NWCA National Duals…won by major decision, 13-3, against No. 27 Mike Koehnlein of Nebraska…defeated former All-American Cody Cleveland of Chattanooga by decision 7-3 at NCAA Wrestling Championships.
2009-2010
Earned First Team Academic All-Pac-Ten for the first time. Finished with a 21-13 record and qualified for the NCAA Championships for the third straight year. Was once again named to the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic Team. Wrestled his way to a fifth-place finish at the Pac-Ten Championships.
2008-2009
Earned the title of NCAA All-American with a sixth-place finish at 141 pounds. Dominated opponents en route to team-leading 29-9 record. Finished in second-place at the 2009 Pac-Ten Championships and was once again named Second-Team All-Academic Pac-Ten.
2007-2008
Compiled a 21-16 record en route to a second-place finish at the Pac-Ten Championships. Qualified for the NCAA Championships for the first time and finished only one match shy of earning All-America status. Was named Second Team All-Academic Pac-Ten and earned a place on the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic Team.

Redshirted initial collegiate season.
