The MatCYd Club is a pre-meet hospitality experience available to all Cyclone wrestling fans as a season long membership. Beginning this 2025-26 season, the MatCYd Club will be held in the new Johnny’s which is located on the second floor of the Scheman Building.
Johnny’s at Scheman will open to MatCYd Club members prior to each home dual meet and will close at the start of the dual. The MatCYd Club is not available during home wrestling tournaments, including the Cyclone Invite and Cyclone Open. Guests will enjoy complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, an appetizer and popcorn pre-meet. A cash bar offering a full selection of beer, wine and mixed drinks will also be available. In addition, members will hear directly from the Iowa State wrestling coaching staff prior to each dual for a pre-meet “Chalk-Talk” in Johnny’s following weigh-ins.
MatCYd Club membership is purchased in addition to the cost of a season ticket. Similar to the Hilton Coliseum ticket policy, all individuals ages 2 years and older must have their own MatCYd Club pass for Johnny’s at access.
Johnny’s at Scheman will ultimately be connected to Hilton Coliseum, via an enclosed walkway. Prior to the new hotel being built, there will be a temporary, enclosed walkway between Johnny’s and Hilton Coliseum for MatCYd Club members to use. Please note, given the MatCYd Club is open pre-meet only, there will be no coat check available.
MatCYd Club benefits include:

- Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages.
- Cash bar offering a full selection of beer, wine and mixed drinks for purchase.
- Pre-meet "Chalk-Talk" with the Iowa State wrestling coaching staff following weigh-ins.
-Access to the MatCYd Club is only available through a season membership and single meet access will not be offered.
-All MatCYd Club memberships are based on availability, on a first-come, first-serve basis.
-Wrestling Season Ticketholders who are ALSO a Cyclone Club member at the Directors Level ($18,000 annually), will receive one (1) complimentary MatCYd Club membership for each season ticket purchased (up to four (4) season tickets).
-Wrestling Floor Seat Season Ticketholders will receive one (1) complimentary MatCYd Club membership for each floor seat season ticket purchased.
