Entry Procedure: The 2025 Cyclone Open is open to all divisions. Meet management reserves the right to evaluate and approve entry requests. Interested teams should contact Kurtis Brondyke (kurtisb@iastate.edu). All entries must be done online through Athletic.net.
Unattached / Open Athletes: Unattached / Open Athletes will be accepted. Interested individuals should contact Maria Sudbury (mariar@iastate.edu). Entry requests must be accompanied by a link to proof of performance within the last two years.
Entry Fees
The team entry fee is $500 per gender.

Entries Open: Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 12:00pm (CT)
Entries Close: Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 12:00pm (CT)
Scratches: To assist meet management in providing the most competitive fields possible, please submit all scratches to Maria Sudbury (mariar@iastate.edu) no later than Tuesday, Jan. 21 at 5pm.

All other events will be contested as seeded sections against time.

Opening Heights:Â Final opening heights will be determined by entries and projected NCAA qualifying standards. Â
Pre-Meet & Competition Information
Practice & Packet Pick-Up:Â There will be no practice day prior to the event. No packets will be handed out. Due to competition, the Lied Recreation Athletic Facility will be CLOSED to practice the entire day on Friday, January 24.
Event Check-In:Â Check-in for all running events will take place at the Southeast corner of the turf infield of the Lied Recreation Athletic Facility. Â Track athletes may check-in any time but must be in the staging area starting 15 minutes prior to the start of their race. Â All field events will check-in at their respective site of competition during athlete warm-up.Â
Weigh-In: Implement inspection will take place at the designated throws circle ONE hour prior to the first throwing event on Saturday.  Inspection will end 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. Â
Protests:Â Rule 5.7-1 Protests relating to singular matters that develop during the conduct of the meet should be made at once and shall not be later than 15 minutes after the results have been announced or posted for the section involving the protest. Protest should be made at the clerk table.Â
Team Seating & Camps: Team seating and camps will be located outside the track oval.  There will be NO TEAM SEATING available in the infield.  The infield is strictly reserved for athlete warm-up and coaching ONLY. Â
Suggested Dining Option: Seasons Marketplace Dining Hall is approximately a 200m walk from the competition venue and provides buffet style dining options suitable for team use during competition. For more information, click here.
Training Room Facilities: Athletic Training Room Facilities are available for use including hot packs, foam rollers, and ice bags. Any treatments requiring further modalities are available upon request and if an athletic trainer is not present with your team, then a written note from him/her detailing treatment specifications will be needed. EMT services will be on site the days of competition as well as our team physician on call. Spike Specifications:Â No needle spikes will be allowed. Only pyramid spikes that are 1/4 inch or less will be allowed. The only exception will be for high jump spikes that have a recessed spike plate where 3/8 inch pyramid or compression spikes will be allowed (so that 1/4 inch is exposed). Spike size will be strictly enforced. Athletes not complying will not be allowed to compete.

Team Dropoff: Buses will be allowed to drop off their teams at the indoor track facility, located on Beach Avenue in front of the Lied Recreation Athletics Center. Buses will then need to park at the Iowa State Center lots north of Jack Trice Stadium. See parking map below.
Bus & Fan Parking:Â ALL parking is located in the Iowa State Center lots north of Jack Trice Stadium. Once parked you can wait at the CyRide Transportation Hub located in lot B-5/B-6. You will catch the 23 Orange Bus to the Rec Center.
