CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
The S.T.O.R.M. Program provides several opportunities for our student-athletes to discover and develop their purpose, personal beliefs and values. Through life skills education and mentorship, our student-athletes are able to gain stress and time management, self-awareness and relationship related skills and guidance.
LIFE SKILLS
- Stress & Time Management
- Providing tools and resources to help our student-athletes understand the importance of prioritizing their time and mental well-being.

- Manhood & Self-Awareness
- Helping young men transition into "Whole Men."Â Whole Men" accept responsibility, reject passivity, love and lead courageously and invest in things that last".
- Healthy/Unhealthy Relationships
- Helping student-athletes understand the importance of healthy relationships and smart decision making.
- Identity Development
- Helping student-athletes understand themselves holistically outside the game of football.
MENTORSHIP
- Big Brother, Little Brother
- Our intrasquad mentorship program pairs first-year student-athletes with upperclassmen within the Cyclone Football program. This mentorship program provides space for team development and resources related to the transition to life as a collegiate athlete at Iowa State.
- Cyclone Football Alumni Mentorship Program
- Our year-long mentorship program is designed to assist senior student-athletes in preparation for life after graduation. Each senior is paired with a former Iowa State Football alumnus to help them in the journey of transitioning out of football. #OnceACycloneAlwaysACyclone
