Football Parking Lot Open Times

All parking passes are issued digitally to fans’ smartphones/mobile devices. Screen shots of barcodes are not able to be used for admission. To avoid delay, load your parking passes into your mobile wallet before leaving for the game.

Golf carts with Cyclone Trolley signs will run throughout the parking lots starting three hours before kickoff. Cyclone Trolleys do not run after football games. Specific pickup locations can be viewed on the parking map linked below.

Courtesy carts are available inside Jack Trice Stadium at Gate 1 (north side of stadium) and Gate 3 (south side of stadium) to get patrons to the concourse level of the stadium. Elevators are also available on the north and south side of the stadium using Gate 1 or Gate 3.

Tailgating Policies

Limit your tailgating to your ONE parking space – ONE parking space per pass will be strictly enforced.
Tents can be no larger than 10' x 10’.
DO NOT block the path for other vehicles to park or to access the lots and parking stalls.
No glass bottles, kegs or open fires are allowed in parking lots.
No tailgating from elevated surfaces (vehicle beds, roofs, trailers).
No professional sound equipment, DJ booth, etc., without prior written approval from ISU Athletics. Speakers that can stand alone or are connected to an amplifier are prohibited. Small "boom boxes" are permitted but the sound cannot extend past your tailgate area (70 Decibels).
Remember to clean up your area and dispose of trash before departing.
Please be considerate and respectful of others.
All patrons who are under 21 years of age are strictly prohibited from using alcoholic beverage on university property. The use of alcohol on university property or property controlled by Iowa State University is only allowed in accordance with federal, state and local laws and in accordance with Iowa State University Policy. Beer and wine are allowed in parking areas. State law prohibits hard liquor consumption or possession of an opened bottle of hard liquor on public property, which includes Iowa State University parking lots.
The use of alcohol in areas surrounding MidAmerican Energy Field at Jack Trice Stadium and Hilton Coliseum is only permitted on official Iowa State football game days; by all patrons who are 21 years of age; and in accordance with state and local law. Alcohol use may be restricted at the discretion of Iowa State leadership, the Department of Athletics, ISUPD officers or local law enforcement.

PLEASE NOTE: If any of these tailgating and/or parking policies are abused, the Iowa State Athletics Department reserves the right to revoke parking privileges for future games and future seasons. Parking staff, police, and ISU Athletics staff have the right to remove any vehicle for violating parking or tailgating policies or vehicles that may present a safety hazard.

Rideshare Services such as Uber, Lyft, taxis, etc. should utilize the area around CY Stephens Auditorium to drop off and pick up passengers. Rideshare vehicles will not be permitted within the parking lots and will not be allowed to stop in traffic to drop off or pick up passengers. Drivers will be required to move if they are impeding pregame or postgame traffic in any way.

Car Parking

Parking Lots 85E, S8, S7, S6, S5, S3, S2

These parking lots provide reserved numbered parking stalls which are held up until kickoff
All vehicles must park between the yellow lines of a parking stall with all wheels on the ground (not up on a curb or island)
Tailgating is allowed between your parking stall and the red painted line, no tailgating activities can extend beyond the red line at any time
Tailgating in other parking stalls is not permitted
Vehicle must be a car, pickup truck or SUV not exceeding 24 feet in length and pull behind trailers or smokers are prohibited

Parking Lots A3, A4, A5, B1, B3, B4, C1/C2, C3, C4, C5, D3, D4, D5

These parking lots provide first come first serve parking within the specific parking lot you are assigned to
All vehicles must park between the yellow lines of a parking stall with all wheels on the ground (not up on a curb or island)
Tailgating is allowed between your parking stall and the red painted line, no tailgating activities can extend beyond the red line at any time
Tailgating in other parking stalls is not permitted
Vehicle must be a car, pickup truck or SUV not exceeding 24 feet in length and pull behind trailers or smokers are prohibited

Parking Lot G6

This parking lot provides first come first serve parking within the specific parking lot you are assigned to
Stalls are painted in the gravel to help establish where cars should park
Tailgating is allowed behind your parking stall but all drive lanes must remain clear and open to traffic at all times
Tailgating in other parking stalls is not permitted
Tents cannot be set up on the recreation fields
Vehicle must be a car, pickup truck or SUV not exceeding 24 feet in length and pull behind trailers or smokers are prohibited

Parking Lot VetMed

These parking lots provide first come first serve parking within the specific parking lot you are assigned to
All vehicles must park between the yellow lines of a parking stall with all wheels on the ground (not up on a curb or island)
Tailgating is allowed behind your parking stall but all drive lanes must remain clear and open to traffic at all times
Tailgating in other parking stalls is not permitted
Vehicle must be a car, pickup truck or SUV not exceeding 24 feet in length and pull behind trailers or smokers are prohibited

Public grass parking lots south of the stadium along South 16^th Street can be purchased here. Pre-sale parking will be sold online only and will cease at Noon the Friday before each game OR when passes sell out. For most games the public grass parking passes will sell out in advance of the game.

Patrons can choose which grass parking lot they would like to park in upon arrival, based on availability
Vehicles will be guided to a specific parking area so that the parking lot can be parked as efficiently as possible
Tailgating is allowed behind your parking stall but all drive lanes must remain clear and open to traffic at all times

ADA Parking is available to those with a state issued handicapped parking permit on a first come first serve basis in paved stalls south of the stadium. Vehicles will be guided to a specific parking stall by the parking staff. ADA parking is available when donor parking lots open for each game (please refer to the graphic at the top of this page for more details). Payment will be upon arrival, $40 per vehicle ($60 for Iowa game) via credit card (Visa/MasterCard/Discover). ADA parking cannot be arranged in advance. No RV parking is available in the areas designated for ADA parking.

Parking resale

Fans may post parking passes for resale here. Parking passes resold through our Ticketmaster Ticket Exchange website are assured to be valid. Any parking passes purchased through the secondary market on other websites is discouraged and may not be legitimate parking passes.

Neighborhoods near Jack Trice Stadium, please follow all posted regulations. Improperly parked vehicles may be subject to ticketing or tow.

Overnight parking is not permitted in any donor or public parking lots, before or after games. Fans are not allowed to put equipment out to “save stalls” prior to the vehicle’s arrival. Equipment set out prior to opening the lots is subject to removal.

RV Parking

RV Village

Open for entry on Friday before home games from 8:00am-11:59pm and will reopen on Saturday whenever donor car parking lots open (please refer to the graphic at the top of this page for more details)
Reserved numbered parking stalls with a 55 foot long stall, must park within the stall and not extend into the drive lane or park in the grass
20/30/50 amp electrical hookup available for every stall
Grass tailgating space adjacent to every stall
RVs must depart on Sunday morning

RV Village is a tailgating space and is only available for football home games and other select events. There is not any water service or dumping station available.

Parking resale

Public RV parking is available in the ISU Research Park south of Highway 30 along Airport Road. No tailgating is permitted at the ISU Research Park, and there is no cost to park here. There are no restroom facilities or garbage dumpsters available in this area.

Volleyball/Wrestling/Gymnastics

All parking lots near Hilton Coliseum are available on a first come first serve basis.

Soccer/Softball/Outdoor Track & Field/Cross Country

Parking is available in lots 61A and 61B near Cyclone Sports Complex. These parking lots are not ticketed on event days. Parking is only permitted in paved stalls, parking on the grass or along the drive lanes are subject to ticket or tow at owners expense. Additional parking is available in the nearby neighborhoods following the posted regulations.

Indoor Track & Field

Parking is available starting at 5:00pm on Friday and through the weekend for free in lot 100 to the south of Lied Recreation. On weekdays lot 100 offers metered stalls (fee required). Additional parking is available on campus following the posted regulations
