Kyle Saddler is in his first season serving as an offensive quality control coach for the Iowa State football team.
Saddler spent the 2025 season as a graduate assistant at Washington State where he assisted in coaching the running backs. WSU, a team with 75 newcomers, finished the season 7-6 overall and won the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl as it rushed for 281 yards in the win against Utah State.
At South Dakota State, Saddler was an offensive quality control coach for two seasons as he helped the Jackrabbits win the FCS national championship in 2023 and reach the semifinals again in 2024.
With SDSU, Saddler assisted in coaching the quarterbacks, including Mark Gronowski, the 2023 Walter Payton Award winner.
Saddler played quarterback at Augustana (S.D.) where he won more games than any quarterback in program history and helped the team win its first NSIC title in 62 years.
The Frisco, Texas, native earned his bachelor’s degree with majors in business administration and sport management from Augustana in 2021. He received his master’s degree in business administration from his alma mater in 2022.
