Peyton Cox is in his first season as assistant offensive line coach at Iowa State.
Cox joins the Cyclone coaching staff after spending the 2025 season at Concord University (W.Va.) where he coached the offensive line and was the run game coordinator.
The Mountain Lions led the conference and were No. 4 in NCAA Division II in fewest sacks allowed.
Prior to his time in West Virginia, Cox worked alongside Iowa State offensive line coach Jake Thornton at Auburn for two seasons (2023-24).
During his time with Auburn, the Tigers signed a pair of top 10 recruiting classes and offensive lineman Connor Lew was a freshman All-American and All-SEC center.
Cox was tight ends coach at FCS Northwestern State in 2022.
Cox, a Metairie, Louisiana, native, earned his bachelor's degree in sports and recreation administration from Ole Miss in 2021. He was a two-year letterwinner for the Rebels after joining the program as a walk-on.
