Liberal studies major … father, Jeff, was a tight end at Ohio State (1987-91) … grandfather, Jimmy Ellis, was a former world heavyweight boxing champion … Jimmy was a sparring partner with Muhammad Ali and won the WBA title in 1968 after a 15-round decision over Jerry Quarry … Jimmy successfully defended his title in a win over Floyd Patterson before losing the title to Joe Frazier in 1970 … Jimmy fought Ali in 1971 in the Astrodome in Houston, falling in the 12^th round.
