Ty Wheeler is in his first season working with the Iowa State football team after joining the program in February of 2026.
Wheeler comes to Iowa State after spending the last two seasons in the National Football League working for the Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals.
The Archie, Missouri native has also worked at Arkansas, serving as a graduate assistant working with football, softball and women’s soccer, in addition to a training camp stint with the Tennessee Titans.
He has related experience working Gatorade camps, the SEC Softball Championships and the Boston Marathon.
Wheeler earned his bachelor’s degree in kinesiology health promotion and wellness from Missouri Southern in 2021 and his master’s degree in athletic training from Arkansas in 2024.
