Upcoming Event: Softball versus DMACC on September 17, 2025 at 4 p.m.

Edwin Deugan is in his first season as Iowa State softball's volunteer assistant coach. Deugan brings a wealth of coaching and instructional experience to head coach Jamie Pinkerton's Iowa State program. A graduate of the University of Iowa, Deugan has taught at all levels of softball, from high school to Division I, in his 20 years in the profession.
Deugan's experience as a collegiate softball head coach bring with him a knowledge of the game that is a tremendous asset to Pinkerton, the staff and ISU's student-athletes. Most recently, Deugan was the head coach at NAIA Southern Wesleyan (2008-2011), before moving up to the Division II level to take the helm at the University of Minnesota Crookston (2012-14).
Deugan comes to Iowa State from Grand View University, where he served as a volunteer assistant coach.
