Rob Jenkins enters his third season with the Cyclones in 2024-25 as an assistant coach. Jenkins arrived in Ames in June 2023, spending his first season as Iowa State’s player development coordinator.
In his role, Jenkins assists with all aspects of player development for the Cyclones. His efforts have helped Iowa State reach the NCAA Tournament each of the last two seasons.
Jenkins also assists with Iowa State post play, helping the duo of Audi Crooks and Addy Brown rise to the top of the Big 12 Conference. In 2024-25, Crooks and Brown combined for 38.6 of ISU’s 76.8 points per game while shooting 55 percent from the floor. One of the most efficient offenses in the conference, Iowa State owned the top mark in points per game, field goal percentage, 2-point field goal percentage and points per scoring attempt in games against Big 12 opponents.
Prior to Iowa State, Jenkins spent two seasons as a graduate assistant at the University of North Carolina. The Chapel Hill native also spent four seasons as a student assistant at the University of Wisconsin prior to his return home to the Tar Heel state.
