2016-17
Wrestled to a 9-13 overall record, while going 3-5 in duals in his redshirt sophomore year… qualified for the 2017 NCAA Championships with a fifth-place finish at the Big 12 Championship… became the 10th Cyclone in the last 11 year to qualify for the NCAA Championships at 197 pounds… defeated North Dakota State’s Cordell Eaton by 14-11 decision in the fifth-place match… knocked off Oklahoma State’s Derek White by 3-2 decision in Iowa State’s dual against the Cowboys… took Iowa’s Sam Wicke down by 4-3 decision in the Cy-Hawk dual.
2015-16
Wrestled to a 6-7 record after joining the Iowa State lineup at the Midlands Championships… posted a 5-5 dual mark… provided Iowa State with an 8-6 victory over Austin Gabel of Virginia Tech in the Cyclones’ upset performance at the Virginia Duals… was versatile in filling holes in the Iowa State lineup, wrestling at both 197-pounds and heavyweight.
2014-15
Redshirted his initial season as an Iowa State wrestler... competed in five tournaments while wrestling unattached... posted a 19-5 record on the season... won the Grand View Open... defeated Jordan Watkins of Briar Cliff by fall in 1:56... beat Iowa's Kris Klapprodt by 6-5 decision to advance to the finals... recorded a 2-2 record at the Southern Scuffle... finished in third-place at the UNI Open... pinned Dane Jones of Iowa Central in 1:04 to kick off the tournament... took home third-place honors at the Harold Nichols Cyclone Open... pinned Indiana's Luke Sheridan in 2:30 in the consolation finals match... started off the year with a runner-up finish to teammate, and national champion Kyven Gadson at the Kaye Young Open... finished the year with five pins and eight-total bonus-point victories.
