Sheley was hired by Iowa State University on Jan. 5, 2026.

A class of 2011 Iowa State graduate, Sheley returned to Ames after spending three and a half years (Aug. '22 - Dec. '25) with the Drake football program. Prior to Drake, Sheley served in a clinical athletic training role for Sanford Orthopedics and Sports Medicine in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Sheley previously worked with the University of South Dakota Sports Medicine staff from 2015-2021 working with the Coyote Women's basketball program that saw 3 NCAA tournament berths and several conference titles. She also worked with Coyote football, cross country, track & field and Spirit Squad teams while at USD.

Sheley has experience working at the high school level in Iowa, Drake Relays, USA Track & Field National Championships, and Indoor Football League with the Sioux Falls Storm.

Sheley received her BS in Kinesiology and Health from Iowa State University and her MA in Kinesiology and Sport Science from The University of South Dakota in 2013.
