AMES, Iowa - Iowa State head coach Larry Eustachy announced Friday that five student-athletes have signed national letters of intent for the 2000-2001 men's basketball season during the early fall signing period. The recruiting class of junior college transfers Ernest Brown and Tyray Pearson and prep standouts Shane Power, Andrew Skoglund and Jake Sullivan has been lauded by recruiting services as one of the nation's top classes.
“I am extremely excited about the five student-athletes who have committed to the Iowa State men's basketball program,” Eustachy said. “This recruiting class has been ranked third in the nation by Hoop Scoop magazine behind Seton Hall and Connecticut. These individuals have high academic and athletic achievements and are indicative of the type of student-athletes we want representing Iowa State University.”
