Football's Davis, Marsau Garner Honors

DALLAS - Iowa State tailback Darren Davis was chosen this week to the first team of The Dallas Morning News 1999 All-Big 12 Conference football squad. Offensive lineman Bill Marsau was a second-team all-conference selection. Davis rushed for 1,388 yards and 14 touchdowns, tops among league running backs. Marsau, a Hudson native, started the last 22 games of his career as a blocker for Davis, a fellow Cyclone senior. Davis and Marsau had earlier received all-conference recognition from the Big 12's coaches. Marsau earned academic all-Big 12 honors for the third straight year in 1999 and was a CoSIDA District VII academic All-American.
