The Huskers eventually secured the match as Holmquist notched her 10th kill of the day to win the final game, 30-21.
"I was pleased with the way this team came back and was competitive in game three after not putting forth a solid effort in games one and two," Crum said. "Overall this season I am very pleased with this squad and the effort and they gave everyday. They know and we as coaches know that the hard work they put in this season and the upcoming off season will help us tremendously in the years to come. It is unfortunate that it is difficult for someone outside of this team to see the improve we have made the last couple of years and throughout this current season. We are a much better team, but in a tough conference like the Big 12 showing improvement in the win/loss column can be very hard to do."
