LAS VEGAS (AP) - Ugonna Onyekwe scored 22 points, pulled down six rebounds and blocked two shots to lead Pennsylvania past Iowa State 84-77 for third place in the Las Vegas Invitational Saturday.
Koko Archibong added 21 points as Penn (3-1) made 8-of-12 3-pointers in a second-half rally. Jeff Schiffner and Andrew Toole each had 16 points.
Iowa State (2-2) led most of the first half, with Tommie King hitting a jumper at the buzzer to give the Cyclones a 34-32 advantage at halftime.
Shane Power led Iowa State with 22 points. Jake Sullivan had 21, and Tyray Pearson, who committed his fourth foul with 16:52 left, finished with 20 points. Coach Larry Eustachy drew a technical with 1:23 to go in the half.
Iowa State outrebounded the Quakers 36-19. But Penn outscored the Cyclones 28-19 in points off turnovers and shot 58 percent from the field.
With 15:39 to go, Toole's three-pointer gave the Quakers the lead for good, 45-43. Penn later built a 72-61 lead with 6:19 remaining. The Quaker lead never got below seven points the rest of the way.
