LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Iowa State sophomore guard Jake Sullivan earned all-tournament honors at the Las Vegas Invitational after his strong showing at the tournament.
The native of Oakdale, Minn., averaged 20.0 ppg throughout the four-game tournament, shooting 52.4 percent (22-42) from the floor and 55.6 percent (10-18) from three-point range. Sullivan was also perfect from the free throw line, making all 26 attempts.
Sullivan scored 20 points or more in three of the four games, including a career-high 22 vs. St. Louis. Sullivan also grabbed a career-high seven rebounds and made all 13 of his foul shots while playing all 40 minutes vs. the Billikens. In the final game of the tournament vs. Penn, Sullivan tallied 21 points, going 8-for-13 from the field and 5-for-7 from three-point range. It was his second 40-minute game of the tournament.
