DALLAS - Iowa State finds themselves well represented on the 2001 Big 12 men's basketball specialty teams, announced today by the Big 12 Conference. Senior All-American Jamaal Tinsley, who led the Big 12 in steals at 3.0 spg, made the All-Defense team. Junior college transfer Tyray Pearson, who is averaging 8.6 ppg as a key reserve for ISU, made the All-Bench team.
Martin Rancik and Kantrail Horton, who have started all 29 games for ISU as seniors, made the All-Underrated team. Rounding out the Cyclone speciality award winners was Jake Sullivan, who made the All-Freshman team after leading all Big 12 rookies in scoring (11.6 ppg.).
