Ricky Morgan Steps Back From Basketball Responsibilities, Remains at Iowa State

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State sophomore guard Ricky Morgan has elected to take a break from day-to-day basketball practice and games but will stay at ISU and continue work toward his bachelor's degree.
"I want to take some time to concentrate on my studies and work out my personal commitment to basketball," Morgan said. "I respect my coaches and love my teammates. They are all 100 percent behind me. I need to take some time to see what I need to do to make a 100 percent commitment to the basketball program."
"I have a great deal of respect for Ricky," Eustachy said. "He has worked very hard and has been extremely loyal to the people in our program. His time frame is my time frame."
