Howard Signs NFL Free Agent Deal

AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State offensive linemen Marcel Howard is bound for an NFL camp after making a free agent commitment to the Detriot Lions. Howard, a second-team all-Big 12 selection at left tackle last season, was named the team's outstanding offensive lineman at the 2001 postseason banquet. The Davenport Central graduate started the last 23 games of his Cyclone career.
