Mandi Harms, Brittany Dalager and Amanda Craig paced the Cyclones offensively with nine kills a piece, while Craig and Dalager were the leaders defensively with nine digs apiece. The loss moves ISU's overall record to 9-5 and to 0-3 in Big 12 action. With the win, Kansas State improved to 6-5 on the year and to 3-1 in league play.
The Wildcats held a 51-41 kill advantage on the night and limited the Cyclones to a .177 hitting percentage. Defensively, the Wildcats held a slight advantage with 47 digs to ISU's 43, but ISU outblocked Kansas State, 21-18
The Wildcats came out strong in game one. KSU, lead by five kills a piece from Lauren Goehring and Lisa Martin, hit .224 from the floor and limited ISU to 12 kills and a .194 hitting percentage. ISU Freshman Katie Kruenegel had two kills and two blocks in the game, as the blocking was a strong point for the Cyclones, a 12-6 advantage for ISU. But the Cyclones would lose game one, 30-25
It was more of the same for the Cyclones in game two, as KSU had 15 kills to ISU's 12, along with Goehring's five kills, to win the game, 30-24. Kansas State outhit the Cyclones, .303 to .194. Dalager added four kills and four digs and junior Renae Pruess had four kills to help the Cyclone cause.

ISU led in the kills category, 17-15, but the Wildcats escaped with a wild 31-29 victory to win the game and the match. "I thought we played very competitively," Head Coach Linda Crum said. "We just need to get to a point now where we expect to win in these situations instead of just being satisfied to compete."
ISU will hit the road this weekend, traveling to College Station, Texas to face the Aggies of Texas A&M on Saturday. First serve will be at 7 p.m.
