AMES, Iowa - Jennifer McCall has been elevated to the position of associate head coach for the Iowa State volleyball program, head coach Linda Crum announced today.
"Jennifer is an outstanding coach and is extremely important to the success of our program," Crum said. "She has had a major impact here in a short amount of time and she is very instrumental in the upward turn of the volleyball program. She has certainly earned the position."
McCall came to ISU in 2000 after spending the previous two seasons as a graduate assistant coach at Auburn, where she helped the Tigers compile a 98-52 overall record and earn a 1997 Southeastern Conference's western division regular-season title. Five Tigers earned all-SEC honors, including freshman of the year and AVCA District IV honoree Janelle Hamilton.
The Littleton, Colo., native works with the offense at Iowa State as well as individually with the Cyclone setters. She also assists with scouting, video exchange, game management, team travel and recruiting. In addition, McCall will split the day-to-day running of practices with Crum.
