Iowa State Head Football Coach Dan McCarney Announces Staff Changes

AMES, Iowa - Iowa State head football coach Dan McCarney announced Tuesday that offensive coordinator Steve Brickey and offensive line coach Marty Fine will not be retained as members of the Cyclone football coaching staff.
McCarney told both coaches of his decision Monday.
"Both Steve and Marty both gave everything they had for this football program, our student-athletes and our fans," McCarney said. "Both went to bowl games as members of this coaching staff. This was a very difficult decision."
McCarney said that a search for two new staff members will begin immediately. McCarney plans no further staff changes.
Iowa State went to an unprecedented three-straight post-season bowl games in 2000, 2001 and 2002.
