Iowa State Safety JaMaine Billups Earns Blue-Gray Bowl Spot

AMES, Iowa -- Iowa State safety JaMaine Billups, who led the Cyclones with 115 tackles this season, has been selected to play in the Blue-Gray All-Star Football Classic Dec. 25 in Montgomery, Ala. The game will kick off at 2 p.m. CST and will air on ESPN2.
Billups finished with 212 tackles the past two seasons after swtiching over to defense after a two-year tour as an ISU runningback. Billups scored on a 72-yard punt return against Pittsburgh in the 2000 Insight.com Bowl.
"JaMaine made a very successful transition to safety and he deserves this opportunity," Iowa State head coach Dan McCarney said.
Billups is the 33rd Cyclone to play in the Blue-Gray game.
