OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - Jake Sullivan, one of the most prolific scorers in Iowa State basketball history, notched his second regional academic honor of the season when he was named to the second team National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Academic All-District 12 basketball team. Sullivan was also named today to the CoSIDA All-District VII team. It marks the second consecutive year in which Sullivan has been honored by the NABC. He was a second team All-District selection last season.
In addition to his academic excellence, Sullivan has left his mark at ISU as one of the best shooters in school and Big 12 history. He stands in the top-10 in scoring at Iowa State and in the Big 12 conference. He owns all of ISU's three-point shooting marks, including made attempts and percentage made. In addition, he is one of the best foul shooters in NCAA history, becoming eligible for the all-time lists this season. Sullivan currently stands eighth on the NCAA list with an 89.3 percent career mark.
Sullivan was joined on the District 12 team with two Big 12 players, Keith Langford of Kansas and Rickey Paulding of Missouri, in addition to Missouri-Kansas City's Michael Watson and Caleb Green of Oral Roberts.
Sullivan is a senior, majoring in psychology and owner of a 3.35 grade point average.
