NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Walter Camp Football Foundation announced that Iowa State wide receiver Todd Blythe is its national offensive college football player of the week for leading the Cyclones to a 42-14 win at Texas A&M.
Blythe, a sophomore, set an Iowa State school record with four touchdown receptions and is the first Texas A&M opponent to make four TD grabs in a game. Blythe caught passes for a career high (No. 2 ISU all-time) 214 yards. He had TD receptions of 9, 53, 19, and 63 yards as Iowa State put up a total of 549 yards, the second-best Iowa State offensive output on the road (Colorado, 1982) in school history.
