DALLAS - Iowa State sophomore guard Curtis Stinson earned second-team all-Big 12 and senior center Jared Homan was named to the third-team, announced today by the Big 12 Coaches.
Stinson, who was a third-team all-Big 12 pick as a freshman last season, had another outstanding season for the Cyclones, leading the team in scoring (17.3 ppg) and steals (2.4 spg). In the Big 12, the Bronx, N.Y., native ranks second in steals, seventh in scoring and sixth in assists (4.4 apg). He recently became the third fastest player in school history to reach 1,000 points, achieving the milestone in 60 games.
Homan, a native of Remsen, Iowa, had a solid senior campaign for the Cyclones, averaging 13.2 points and 8.0 rebounds. Homan currently ranks third in the Big 12 in rebounding, blocks (1.7) and double-doubles (9). The all-time shot-blocker in school history (218), Homan ranks 20th on the ISU career scoring charts (1,060) and seventh all-time in career rebounds (723).
