Will Blalock Named Big 12 Player of the Week

DALLAS - Iowa State sophomore guard Will Blalock averaged 19.5 points and dished out 6.0 assists in ISU's two wins during the week helping him earn Big 12 Player of the Week honors, announced today by the Big 12.
A native of Boston, Mass., Blalock tallied 19 points (9-15 FG) in ISU's win over Missouri and followed that game with a season-high 20 points, including 14 in the second half, in the Cyclone victory at Colorado. Blalock was 17-of-28 (57.1 percent) from the field and had 12 assists and four steals in the two games.
Blalock is the fourth Cyclone to earn Player of the Week honors this season (Jared Homan, Curtis Stinson 2).
