AMES, Iowa ? Iowa State got 17 kills and five block assists from Lauren Cummings to rally and defeat Texas Tech, 3-1 (25-30, 30-20, 30-26, 30-25), after dropping the first game on Wednesday night in front of 1,165 spectators at Hilton Coliseum.

The Cyclones came out sluggish, dropping the first game, 30-25, behind a .167 hitting percentage before rallying to win the next three games.

The Cyclones were solid defensively and from behind the service line. ISU had eight service aces, 63 digs and 15.5 blocks on the night. Katie Churm had 20 digs to pace the Cyclones, while freshman Kaylee Manns had 13 to go along with her 57 assists. Jessen and Laura Cady also reached double-figures with 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
As a team, ISU hit .260 and held the Red Raiders to a .145 hitting percentage.

The deciding fourth game was controlled by Texas Tech until the Cyclones scored three straight to push their lead to 14-10. The Cyclones never trailed again in extending their school-record with the 11th Big 12 win of the season.
