Big Promotions Planned For Nebraska Match

AMES, Iowa ? Riding the momentum of a school-record five-match Big 12 win streak, the Iowa State (17-7, 9-5 Big 12) volleyball team is hoping for a little "Hilton Magic" when it faces top-ranked Nebraska (22-0, 14-0 Big 12) in a key Big 12 showdown at Hilton Coliseum Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
The Cyclones have broken a number of streaks and achieved a number of firsts' this season. - First win over Kansas State in Manhattan since 1995. - First win over Colorado in Boulder since 1987. - First win over Texas A&M since 1989. - First win over Missouri since 1996.
"This is a big match for us and should be a fun night for our fans," said ISU head coach Christy Johnson. "We are hoping to get a lot of fans at the match. The school-record for a match is 4,228 and it would be awesome to have that many for this match. We had great support Saturday night. We had about 1,500 fans against The school-record was set against ISU faculty, students and staff will be admitted free with their ISU card. Wednesday is also $1 popcorn night and fans can meet the team in a post-match autograph session.
