KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Iowa State's Curtis Stinson and Rahshon Clark were named to Big 12 specialty teams, selected by a panel of sportswriters who regularly cover the conference.
Stinson, a junior guard from the Bronx, N.Y., was named to the Big 12 all-Defensive team for the second consecutive season. Stinson is currently ranked second in the Big 12 and in the top-50 nationally in steals at 2.4 spg. Stinson, who is third in the league in scoring at 19.3 ppg, tallied three or more steals in a game 14 times this season while accumulating 70 thefts, which ranks fifth on ISU's single-season steal list. He is just the second player in school history to record 70 or more steals twice in a season.
A native of Queens, N.Y., Clark made the Big 12 all-Underrated team. The sophomore forward is averaging 13.2 ppg, third-best on the team, and leads the Cyclones in rebounding at 5.7 ppg. Clark also has a team-high 77.4 percentage from the free-throw line and is second on the team with 43 3-pointers.
