Iowa State Goes Undefeated at UNI Spring Invitational

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa - Iowa State swept intrastate rivals Drake and Northern Iowa in addition to 2-0 sweeps of North Dakota State and Navy to go 8-0 at the Northern Iowa Spring Invitational on Saturday.
The Cyclones opened play with a 2-0 (30-17, 30-25) sweep of Drake before handling North Dakota State, 2-0 (30-13, 32-30).
Following a short lunch break, the Cyclones came out on fire, disposing of Navy 30-14, 30-18 before posting a 2-0 (30-23, 30-19) sweep of Northern Iowa to close out play.
The Cyclones will host Drake and Northern Iowa next weekend to conclude spring action at Forker Gymnasium in Ames.
